Dr. James Xu

Dr James Xu graduated from the University of Sydney Medical School in 2009 and completed his cardiology training at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney. He was awarded an Australian Government research scholarship to pursue a PhD in Medicine at UNSW, leading to multiple high-impact publications, research grants, and awards.

Dr Xu specializes in complex high-risk minimally invasive coronary interventions. He undertook an advanced CHIP/CTO Fellowship at the renowned Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital, Northwell Health, New York.

Currently, Dr Xu is a Staff Specialist Cardiologist and Director of Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories at Liverpool Hospital. He is also a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at UNSW and remains active in medical education and research, focusing on acute coronary syndrome, coronary physiology, and microvascular dysfunction.
